Most website maintenance is keeping an old website from falling over: plugin updates, security patches, and a bill when something breaks. Ours is different. We build your website so there's almost nothing to patch, and then we take responsibility for it: keeping it live, fast and secure, keeping it up to standard as the rules change, and making every change you ask for.
What we take responsibility for
Every change you need. Email us. New staff member, new service, new prices, new photos. We make the change and check it before it goes live. No login, no hourly rate, no quote.
Checks on every change. The same automated checks your website passed at launch run again every time it changes. We don't publish a change that fails one.
Keeping it up to standard. When our standard for accessibility, security or search moves, we bring your website up to the new one. You don't have to ask.
Security, kept current. Secure connections enforced, full security headers, and no login page, database or plugins for anyone to break into.
Every version kept. Every change is recorded, nothing is ever lost, and we can go back to any earlier version at any time.
Your domain and email records. The records that stop someone sending email in your business's name, set up and kept right.
The legal pages. Your privacy policy and terms, kept current.
What happens without it
A website nobody looks after doesn't break all at once. Prices drift out of date. Someone who left two years ago is still on the About page. A link stops working. Then a new accessibility or security rule arrives that it was never built for. Customers notice before the business does. Website maintenance is making sure none of that happens, and managing it is taking responsibility for making sure.
Why there's so little to patch
A typical small business website runs on a platform with plugins, a database and an admin login, and each of those needs updating, patching and watching. That is what most maintenance plans pay for. Your website is built without any of them, so the effort goes into improving it instead of keeping it alive.
Development, hosting, and who decides
Development builds and upgrades your website, and hosting gets it to every visitor. Management sits over both: deciding what your website needs next, and making sure it happens.

We don't take over and patch a website on another platform. We rebuild it on ours, keeping everything that works, and from then on we look after it.

Is this a managed website?
Yes. A managed website means someone else looks after it for you. With us, that's everything from changes to security to keeping it up to standard.
Do I need to update plugins or software?
No. Your website has no plugins and no software for you to update.
Can you maintain my existing WordPress website?
No. We rebuild it on our platform, then look after it for you.
Do I have to log in to anything?
No. You email us, and we change the website.
What does it cost to host and maintain a WordPress website?
It depends on what the website is running, and that is the problem. A WordPress website needs hosting, then an arrangement to keep its plugins, theme and core updated, and then somebody's time on the occasions when one of those updates breaks something else. That is usually three bills from two or three suppliers, and the third cannot be predicted, because nobody knows in advance what will break.
A Chur website has no plugins, theme or admin system to keep updated, so there is far less to go wrong, and keeping it up to date is our job, not a separate bill. Hosting and maintenance are not separate purchases here. They are part of the monthly fee, and so is every change you ask for.
