Website hosting, close to your customers
Website hosting is the part of your website nobody notices until it goes wrong. A slow page loses people before they've read a word. A lapsed certificate puts a browser warning in front of your business. Done properly, hosting is invisible: every visitor gets your website quickly, securely and at one address, every time.
Hosting done properly
Close to your customers. A page that has to cross the world arrives late, and people don't wait for it. Yours comes from a data centre near whoever's looking. From New Zealand, that's Auckland.
Fast enough for Google. Google says how fast and smoothly a page loads is used in deciding what it shows. Serving it nearby is a big part of that.
Secure on every visit. Browsers label an unencrypted page "Not secure", and careful customers notice. Every visit to yours is encrypted, and browsers are told never to accept anything less for your web address.
A certificate that looks after itself. When a certificate lapses, browsers put a full-page warning in front of the website. Yours renews automatically, so there's no expiry date for you to remember.
One address, counted once. Your website can be reached four ways: with or without www, with http or https. Search engines treat each as a separate page. All four of yours lead to one, so everything search engines learn about you counts in one place.
No server to break. Traditional web hosting is a server running software that has to be patched and watched, often shared with other websites. Yours is published as finished pages, so there's no software of yours on a server to patch, restart or watch overnight.
Light pages, light footprint. The same small pages that load quickly use less energy on every visit. How we measure it →
Why fast hosting isn't enough
It's a common question: the hosting is fast, so why is the website slow? Because most of what makes a page quick is decided before hosting ever sees it: how big the images are, how much code comes with the page, where the fonts come from. The fastest hosting in the world can't rescue a heavy website. We build the website as well as host it, so neither one can blame the other.
Who looks after it
Hosting gets your website to every visitor. Everything else about looking after it, from the changes you ask for to keeping it up to standard, is management, and taking responsibility for it is our job.
For busier websites
If your website is busy, or your work is sensitive, our Max plan adds more performance headroom and a heavier layer of protection.
Already have a website?
We only host websites we build. If yours was built somewhere else, we rebuild it on our platform first, keeping what works, then host it from there.
What it costs
$100 +GST /mo
Website hosting is part of every plan, not a separate bill. Our Business plan is $100 + GST a month, with the design, development, hosting, security and every change included. No build fee, and you can cancel any time.
